Etruscan Goddess Sweater
Cool idea: knit a Many Breasted Goddess Sweater -or tunic.
Is there any reason why I should not knit (and possibly wear) a tunic covered in skin-color knitted breasts? It is funny yet serious. Maybe someone could sell this for me at a charity auction -we could raise money for breast cancer research.
Yesterday, I learned that the famous Rachel Carson, author of the book, Silent Spring, died of breast cancer. Rachel Carson lived to 56 years old, very similar to my friend who recently died. I was working on a pair of ordinary socks that I'm knitting, when I suddenly had this idea. Knitted sock toes resemble drooping breasts -like the ancient statues of many breasted goddesses.
Maybe I'll also make a paper-mache version, using water balloons to get the shapes started.
Note: the statue that I'm looking at has 30 breasts, so it might take me a long time to make this.
